Provide administrative assistance to the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences as well as various courses throughout the DO program.  Perform and present academic research with the Department of Geriatrics.  Participate in the introduction of new teaching methods to the institution. Provide administrative assistance to the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences as well as various courses throughout the DO program.  Act as a liaison between programs (PA Studies, DO, Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences, etc.) and departments, vendors, and internal service groups in order to facilitate the planning, evaluation, and implementation of new instructional technologies and methodologies.  Provide leadership to adult learning and professional education by attending selected local and international conferences, seminars, webinars, etc.  Support selected programs in the use of Blackboard, ExamSoft, and other technologies as needed. 

 

Contribute to the following committees: DO Curriculum Committee,   Graduate Programs Curriculum Committee; Learning Resources Committee; Middle States Accreditation – Finance Sub-Committee; PCOM Diversity Council; LGBT, Disability and Other Special Needs, and Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Councils of the PCOM Diversity Council; Campus Climate Survey Work Group.

Selected Projects

 

Blackboard Learn Launch

Lead the cross-campus migration to Blackboard Learn by bringing together and leading a team representing all academic programs, IT, and the Office of the Registrar.  The project included planning, communications with the PCOM community, training, and follow-up with PCOM and the vendor.  I continue to provide small group and individual training and support to faculty and staff on an as-needed basis.

 

Blackboard Collaborate Launch

Worked closely with a member of our IT department to introduce and launch the Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing tool to the PCOM community.  This project involved a needs assessment, planning, communication with the PCOM community, and formal training.  I continue to provide small group training as well as support to departments and programs as they migrate from WIMBA to Bb Collaborate.

 

ExamSoft Launch

Work closely with a member of our IT department to implement ExamSoft computer-based testing to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at the Philadelphia Campus of PCOM.  I coordinated formal training by ExamSoft for key PCOM personnel.  Integration of the system into Blackboard.

 

OPTIMIZATION OF THE EXAMSOFT DATABASE

Manage a project to increase the educational value of our computer-based testing system for the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences – Philadelphia Campus.  Work with stakeholders to assess the needs of the courses, program, and institution in areas of student, course, and program outcomes. 

 

EXAMSOFT BETA TESTING

Participate In beta testing for a new version of the customer portal and student application.
